A physician leader with a deeply personal clinical focus.
Dr. Gary Litovitz is a board-certified psychiatrist and the Chief Medical Officer of Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. He is also the Founding Medical Director of the Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center and maintains an outpatient psychiatry practice serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
His work bridges direct patient care, hospital leadership, community education, and mental health services outreach. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Litovitz advises businesses and government agencies on mental health issues and has assisted clinicians in establishing and growing behavioral health practices.
Dr. Litovitz’s training is rooted at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree, completed psychiatry residency, completed a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine, and served as a clinical Assistant Professor of psychiatry.
Across his career, he has helped lead the creation, design, and implementation of specialized mental health programs for eating disorders, self-injurious behavior, women’s mental health, psychological trauma, substance use disorders, and other complex psychiatric needs.
